Hi,
Would appreciate anyone out there who could help me getting
datasheet for this transistor C2553 or its equivalent.
One of the 4 driver transistors (could be a darlington) for a 2 phase steppter motor is spoilt and I need to replacement. This looks like a Japanese make product. The maker ID is just "T". Thanks alot in advance.
Regards

Assuming it is a japanese transistor, it is most likely a 2SC2553, which is a 500V, 5A, 40W power transistor. Available from a number of sources.

Asian manufacturers often leave the "2S" off of the part marking.

Hope this helps.

Shouldn't be too difficult to find replacement. Find out if
simple or Darlington. If simple, check how much current
you can drive it with.

Look among the transistors with same package.

i agree with lewish...

check it as 2SC2553 on data sheets...
like some asian component they go as 2SC, 2SD or 2SB..those are the common....

"T" could mean Toshiba...but I am not too sure..
'hope this help.
