I welcome suggestions, recommendations, and/or open discussions for sealing mechanisms (mechanical seal system) for a multistage HP suction (~2000 psig) horizontal split case pump and pumpage is water. Proven cases or references would be beneficial. I've ideas, but welcome others.

Why don't you contact the pump vendor and ask for their recommendation? You can make them do the work and then give you the references you require. If they are a company woth anything then yours is not the first pump they have built for such an application - sounds like a boiler recirc. So, they would have sold many pumps like that in the past and would have no probs giving you the necessary installation/reference lists.

tstead,
I have already commenced contacting seal reps and hope to obtain references. The posting is an attempt to find if anyone else has encountered this or similar situation before. The application is hp seawater injection. Thanks for the response. - pmover
