I am working on an application that requires an optic system that is sealed. The system in looking at diesel exhaust and can reach a temperature of 500 degrees C. Ideally this sealant would be both an adhesive (holding the lens in place) and seal, like an RTV would do at lower temperatures.

Can someone either suggest suitable materials or even suppliers that might be able to help?

Thanks,
Dan

There are many good hits if you Google "high temperature sight glass".

Try using graphoil gasket material. You will need to clamp it in. Send a drawing of the arrangement for comment.
