Hi all,
Re-posting this from last year.
--Does anyone know if the Sds "design 5% damped spectral acceleration parameter at short periods..." (from ASCE7) has an equivalent in AS1170.4?
Assuming it is equivalent to KpZCh(T) where Ch(T) is taken at short periods (i.e. at its maximum value) ASCE7 and AS1170.4 don't compare well in regards to out-of-plane forces on walls and for diaphragm forces.
Any info greatly appreciated

Regards
Toby--
P.S. The new AS3600:2018 diaphragm force levels are different also if you literally consider the definition of "seismic distribution factor" from AS1170.4
