We Have DAF unit in waste water treatment plant but unfortunately the scum is carryover to next stage we need simple process to remove it because it plug in the plate heat exchanger downstream the DAF assumes that there is lift station tank and Pump used to send the treated water from the the DAF passing the lift station tank and then the heat exchanger to next step the bioreactor

Please post some type of flow diagram showing your process, type of wastewater treatment plant, etc. There is no way to know what the problem is with the limited post.

Talk to your local water treatment chemicals vendors who may have defoamers that can stop foaming, and yet is not harmful to bacteria in bioreactor. Sometimes foam is caused by high load of suspended solids in the feed water, so upstream particulate filtration may help to eliminate foaming without the use of defoamer chemicals that may be toxic to bacteria. Foaming may also be due to excessive use of some other surfactant chemicals like de emulsifiers further upstream.

Hi,
Let you involve your waste water treatment chemicals vendor in the loop. He should perform test ( jar test ) to optimize the treatment or help you to define additional equipment to prevent carry over of material .
Note : talk to him about the use of a lamellar decanter to increase the performance of the existing unit .
Good luck
Pierre
