I am trying to get a calculation for scrubber and baghouse stacks so that I can input on Air permitting forms before manufacturer is selected. I have the flow rate and also the concentration of the pollutants being scrubbed. I am just wondering if there is an equation used that will calculate out sufficient heighth and diameter at a specific flow rate so that this information can be close without having a manufacturer selected.

While I am sure you would get more suitable replies from experts like Beychok, this is my small piece of it. I guess, you can apply standard guidelines avaialable such as "5 meters above the highest operator platform within 15 m radius of the stack". This is out of our current project requirements but realized that the same is a typical.
