HI

During charching PMMA , the screw stops or rotats very slowly with more pressure.WHat should we do for charging PMMA softly?

Regards

Use correct screw profile.

Use correct temperature profile.

Use less back pressure.

Use easy flow or lubricated material.

Would you please guide me about "screw profile" , "easy flow ", "lubricated material" ?

Regards

Have you read the processing guides published by the PMMA manufacturers. The guides published by the reputable manufacturer are a wealth of knowledge.

I really am not prepared to write a novel here for free when some simple homework on you part would give you enough knowledge to at least ask reasonable questions.

Increase feed zone (and maybe the rest) temperatures. Acrylic always "squeals" when feeding, but unless your machines have torque limits you can easily shear the screw or the check ring assembly off. Nasty. Much work and $$$!

And as Pat suggested, get yourself the manufacturer's processing guide - they are free!

Cheers
