Hi Experts,

Could anyone please advise on the scope of Pressure Relief Valves for the Boilers constructed as per ASME Section I?

1. Is it mandatory that boiler manufacturer shall provide Pressure Relief Valves?

2. If reply of question 1 is yes then, Should it be "V" Stamped?

Appreciate your support.

Thank you.

Thr responsibility for PRD is with the ASME S Certificate holder. They can chose to either work with a qualified subcontractor or provide the valves to the owner directly. Yes, the valves require certification by either the National Board or an ASME V mark Certificate holder.

Thanks Metengr
