I have created a boat on solid edge. The next stage for me is to rapid proto-type it. For this to work I need to scale my ship 20:1 in solid edge. My final assembly has many different parts in it. I therefore really don’t want to go back and scale each part individually is there any way of scaling the entire assembly at once?

Are you sure about having to scale it?
I would have thought that could be done by the RP people.
Is the RP going to be done as one piece or one piece for each part?
If its one piece you can try inserting a part copy with the scale option.
Open a new part file then Insert Part Copy the assembly file.
You should then be able to export as STL or whatever the RP people want.

Where would we be without sat-nav?

Hi.

I agree with Beachcomber, the little I have had to do with rapid protoyping, the RP company usually takes a 1:1 and you tell them the scale. There software should be able to scale.
