Scale prediction

Sorry, I'm not answering your question, but I do have a query on same subject.

I am interested in feedback of scaling and salt problems in oil stabiliser columns operating with low levels of produced water in the feed to the unit. Eg. Stabiliser feed with 2-3% water with the reboiler operating at 140 degC / 8 Bara (below the boiling pt of water). Wash water is added to meet the oil salt specification and a water phase remains in the bottom of the column therefore no salt precipitation occurs. However, we are concerned on scale formation in the reboiler at these P/T conditions. Useful feedback would be operating experience/data ie. water quantities, column P/T, level of scaling /fouling etc.
