SAW Welder Quals

Where does it state that you can qualify a welder on the SAW process using Mechanical Testing (Fracture Test & Macro Test).
Is this even true.

Which code are you qualifying the welder to?

Fillet welds can be qualified that way as per QW-302.

QW 452.5 (Fillet weld test) specifies that 1 Macro and 1 Fracture are required for welder qualification for your inquiry.
