Hello,

Is there API that will allow me to open a Solid Edge Draft and save (export) it as a PDF? We already do this for SolidWorks and AutoCAD when we send them to Released in our workflow and now have the need for Solid Edge.

Thanks,

Bill

If you are doing one at a time, then it is as simple as doing a Save As and select PDF as the filetype.

If you want to do an entire folder at once, then go into your .../Program Files/Solid Edge STX/Custom folder and use the BATCH utility.

Thanks Scott.

What I am looking to do is fire off PDF Create when the dft is sent to Released in our workflow. I think I found the API that will allow us to do that.

The batch utility that you pointed out might aid us in creating PDFs for existing dfts that have already been released.

Thanks again for your insight.

Bill
