Is there a way to save out only one view of a print as a DWG file rather than the complete print or needing to cut and paste the view to another sheet?

Recommended for you

Delete the views, save out the DWG and close the file without saving, or undo each of the deleted views and close the file.

Or

Make a new drawing and copy one view from the other sheet to the this new sheet and export out that sheet.

I had not tried hiding the views, I supose that may be the easiest way. I was thinking maybe I could select just a view to export same as if I were saving out sections of a multibody part file using parasolid.

Thanks

Hiding the views used to not work... because it finds everything... you might try adding it to layers and turn the layer off and the export it.

hiding the views actually did work fine.

Scott ... I had a vague recollection of that, but did a quick test with SW07 and opened the DWG in DWGeditor and it worked.
I guess they must have fixed it in one of the newer releases.
