sap2000 buckling mesh

Hi,

I am modelling steel silo and performing buckling analysis. When I use different mesh between adjacent shells with edge constraint SAP can not start buckling analysis, it is the same if I manually mesh areas or use internal mesh. Anyone knows anything about this?

Not an expert on buckling analysis here - but couldn't you just turn off the automesh and see if it runs?

Just as a test case - if it works then you can manually mesh the structure

Yes i tried, when using manual mesh it works, but only when each node is connected to node of adjacent element (perfect mesh). If one node of element is on the edge of adjacent element (and I enable auto edge constraint) then it can not start...
