SAP Update Problem

I have just updated to SAP2000V8 from V6.11. The problem is that models that I used to "run analyze" fine with the older version, now I find nothing but warnings "stiffness matrix equal 0" for too many joints.
All members (shell in this case) seem to have been properly translated from the old version to the new one.
Any clue, anybody?
