SAP 2000 Model Template Default Joints

I think whether the nodes in sap2000 are fixed or pins or others can not be said absolutely, it depends on the structures and the analysis options.

Rarebug, it depends on which template. The truss templates have releases, some of the other templates do not. You can easily check for yourself by right clicking individual frame elements after you generate a model from the template, go to Assignments tab and check to see if there are releases. Even better than that, go to 'Set display options', then checkbox 'Frame releases' to see visually which frames have releases
Either way, it's no big deal.. simply select frames and assign frame releases or assign to remove releases. The release at a joint is a frame assignment, not a joint assignment
