Performing settlement analysis and site evaluation for fill and structures to be placed on SF Bay Mud within north San Francisco Bay. Looking for suggested resources (research, case histories, texts, etc.) pertaining to the characterization and analysis of Bay Mud, construction of structures and mitigation/control of consolidation. Any information or links to experiences would be hilpful.

I believe some of the SF Airport runways extend out into the bay and were placed on a fill.
