Dear

Can you Help me out that, how many sample/ at what distance for Petrographic test to be taken for 1 KM for offshore concrete pipeline

There are no set criteria for this. Sampling is done on an as-needed basis, usually to show a consistency of the product or to show a cause for problematic conditions.

Remember that for petrography, you'll need a destructive sample that must be repaired for the in-place pipeline. This can get both problematic and expensive.

Why do you need a petrographic examination? Are you having problems with the pipe?

Thanks Ron!

We wan to calculate remaining life assessment of pipe line and it 2.2M dia pipe wih length 1 KM off shore and there r manhole on every 100 meter with same material. We take sample of concrete from that man hole.

Can you again check how many sample we can take for testing ( 2 or 4 or on every 100 meter?) Is there standard for taking samples?

Or we can take 2 sample from both ends?

Regards

Manoj
