The industry is trending towards less conventional oil resources, and as a result feed qualities have suffered in terms of salts, higher TANS etc.
Due to higher salt contents in the feed deposition temperatures are higher.
Has anyone operated a unit where the coker fractionator overhead temperature is lower than the NH4Cl deposition temperature. Taking into account that the system has a continuous water wash for the overhead exchangers and with the ability to water wash the tower in times of need.

ok why dont I inhibit your TANs with a patent filed for chemical?, and complex the alkali salts?
