S7 300 CPU FAULT???

SF LED IS RED AND CANT GO IN TO RUN MODE

I have downloaded a program in this cpu, and it does not like something in the hardware configuration or the program.

I have down below a copy of the online diagnostic buffer. However this does not say whats wrong or how to fix it.

Can some one put me on the right track?


DIAGNOSTIC BUFFER MESSAGE:

Event 1 of 100: Event ID 16# 5962
Parameter assignment error preventing startup in party-line parameters/communication bus parameters
Error type: Display when converting geographical address into logical address 8f01 Return code:
Rack number: 0
Operating mode: STOP (internal)
External error, Incoming event

Looks like you've got something wrong in your comm setup. Can you describe your network topology? Did you use NetPro to set your bus / networks up?

I found the problem. It was a card that was missing,
I downloaded an application that had a different hardware configuration.

Why did that message speak nonsens. It should have said "your i/o cards in the PLC does not match the hardware configuration you downloaded"

Now this every body could know right away what was up.

Any way thanks for your help this issue is now closed.
