I have a product for automotive that uses rubber keypads with gold/nickel plating over copper contact on a gold plated PCB. 5VDC with a current of 0.001 to 0.025A. Contacts are 3mm dia. How would I calculate what the contact resistance should be? I have a 15milliohm max requirement from FORD. Is this atainable?

Why don't you ask them how "they" would measure it. Then you will get the same result they do when they check your product. Otherwise, yes that should be obtainable.

What is this for? I have worked with the Big 3 for years and am not familiar with anything that would require pushbuttons.

Other than that, I quess I am confused on what your question is. If you know how much resistance you have in your circuit, you know how much current you are going to sink / source, and you know how much of a voltage drop you are allowed to have, why can't you figure out how much extra resistance (contact resistance) you can tolerate?
