New to the forum and my first post. I was wondering if anyone might be able to identify a RTD that I found. Unfortunately they don't allow me to access photobucket to place a picture up. Tonight when i go home I will post a link to a few images. Anyway the RTD looks like a bolt (1/2" thread diameter about 0.85" long), I thought it might be from Rochester Instrument Systems but couldn't find anything at RiS. I don't know how long these things have been sitting in our lab but I have worked here 18 years and this was the first time I stumbled across them loose in an unmarked box. I googled the numbers that were on the parts (A91712, 139P) but didn't turn up anything. They may have been custom parts but I found a use for them and wanted to get some more. TIA

If you measure across the terminals and it is around 100 ohms (when dunked in ice water; around 108 ohms at room temperature) then it is a fair bet that it is a 100 ohm platinum resistance thermometer.

If it is 10k it is some sort of thermistor.
