RSView Studio exponential number display

I am using AB PV+1000 and Logix5561 programed with RSView Studio ME and RS5000 respectively.

In RS5000 I have created a tag (Style=Exponential, Data Type=Real) to give exponential numbers e.g. "3.2E-5"

I am stuggling to display this on the PV+ as "3.2E-5" without splitting the original value into "3.2" and "-5".

The method I used for Wonderware is not working and a decent search has not turned up any suggestions.

Any help is apprciated.

Hello;
The format you selected in RsLogix 5000 is just for the display of the value within RsLogix 5000. It has nothing to do with how the value is displayed on the PanelView+.

Unfortunately it looks like PanelView+ does not have an exponential format. You might try assigning a very low number of digits to the display and see if that works.
