Hi, does anybody know what has happened to Roymech, i'm getting 'account suspended'.....any news???

"Account suspended" means that the owners of the website stopped paying the hosting service.

Ian Lawton,

Roy Beardmore has passed away. The site remained up for a while, but I guess he is not paying for the service any more.

Its ashame Roymech has disappeared, i have used it for years. I am building a website like roymech putting all my engineering knowledge onto the internet, i will post a link once its available.

Regards

Andrew

I have a copy of the roymech site on my website for my own personal use, it has errors displaying the pages currently which i am sorting out. I copied it as the site was unavailable on a regularly. Not sure if this should be published on the forum.

Roymech is probably still subject to copyright. For a while CDs were available for sale of the entire site for personal use.

That said, it might be a nice gesture to contact the family before putting it up.

It looks like roymech.org is still live if that helps anyone else.

Not sure if it is an official site or a mirror but at least the content seems to be there without having to dig through archive.org

Looks like that site has been created recently probably not owned by the owner of roymech.co.uk as they have stripped out the advertising. I keep you all posted when my site is available for use.
