I'd like to ask you, how to determine number of rovings for pultruded profile. I know the surface of pultruded profile, the diameter of one fiber is 16 micrometers.
How many fiber is in one roving usually?
In composit will be cca 70% of glass fibers, 30% of resin.
Could you help me?
It is important for creel design.

The filament diameter is not relevant, although 16 micron is thicker than any I'm aware of. My fiberglass handbook lists K filament as the thickest at 13 microns.

The number of rovings is determined from the grams per meter of the roving that you are using and the grams per meter that is in your profile. Use the cross-sectional area of your profile, 70% filled with fiber to get fiber area. Multiply by fiber density to get grams per meter. E-glass density is 2.56.
