Rotatory-Equipment BasePlate Design

Hello,
Could anyone tell me where I can find some method to calculate and design baseplates (skids) to install on rotatory equipment systems (turbine + pump; motor + pump, etc)? I understand that calculus is under statics and dynamics conditions, but I have not found anything about.

A book that we used a great deal was:

Design of Weldments by Omer Blodgett
This is a very handy and outstanding book and doesn't cost much ($12.50). 500 hardcover pages of formulas and diagrams

As a fellow mechanical engineer who has aligned my share of rotating equipment let me state that the biggest concern is that the skid be as rigid as possible. In short, the concern is not the stress level in the skid members but rather to limit deflections.

I suggest you start by looking at the shaft alignment requirements of whatever type of rotating equipment will be mounted on the skid. Also, look at the soft foot tolerances.
