I am doing a project for my school which includes designing, prototyping, and building a rope tow. It is a device that tows skiiers up a hill by the use of a rope. It has the same concept as a chair lift but for smaller and less steep hills. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience doing this sort of poject and could give me some pointers, such as: motor size, pulley configuration, saftey, etc. Thank you for your help.
