I will repair oil storage tank ( roof only ) with special coating or painting because the roof has been corrosion.
We plan to repair with condition tank online ( no hot work permit )and temp. of oil is 140F. ( API 650 Tank )
Anybody know how to repair and what product will be used for this work.
if anybody have an information pls let me know.

Is this external corrosion?
Is this carbon steel tank?

If you have internal corrosion problem, you should consider about the method of surface preparation. All corrosion scale and rust should be removed before apply the paint.

I see a lot of problems with this approach is the tank is of any size. As stated above surface prep and add access along with a hot surface paint that has corrosion resistance without the above mentioned surface prep. Also consider that the roof surface can be considerably hotter than the contents due to solar heat.

Come back with physical dimensions of the tank.

One place to check is with your normal paint supplier. Typical coatings have a specified surface temperature for application, and if the surface is too hot, you can have problems with bubbles forming in the coating.
