Is there an easier way for load combinations to include wind from either direction, ie. positive value and a negative value?

Obviously, if you've got the same force whether in the positive or negative directions then you can just change the load factors. If you've got a force on one face of the structure and a different force on the opposite face of the structure, then you can use different basic load cases for it. Like WL+X and WL-X. I don't know that this will cover all possibilities. But, you can always use the user defined basic load cases OL1, OL2..... et cetera if you need more wind load cases than the program provides.

One of my ideas (which hasn't gotten implemented yet) is to give users the ability to rename the OL1~OL10 cases, so that they have a little more control over the way their LC's work. Like, a WL+X_a and or +WLX_b. Just something that would be clear to them in their load combinations.

Note: I'd probably use the concept more for different types of dead load.... DL_O (for operating), SDL or DL_S (for super-imposed DL). Gosh, I would love that feature. Hopefully, someone over there will resurrect this "enhancement ticket" at some point.

Thanks Josh... I copied each of the WL combination factors and changed the load factors to a negative value for the WL. The program can save this as the defauld. Just took a little fiddling around.
