RipRap Aprons

Hello All,
I have been looking for a source of information for designing riprap aprons as culvert scour counter measures. Our local DOT has some information but I would like more indepth information. I am not talking about a plunge basin as in HEC-14 only an apron @ the outlet.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
