Famed structural engineer Charlie Thornton of Thornton-Tomasetti passed away on December 12, 2023 at the age of 83.

I always knew the firm name, but not much about the named partners. It is refreshing to read about a structural firm with the courage to name itself after the founders, rather than using some alphabet moniker. RIP Mr. Thornton.

It's abbreviated TT, though. Did an interesting report on the Indiana State Fair collapse back in the day. Not sure if any of the big guys were involved in it.
