Is there any method to estimating the arc length, and a good initial arc increment?..............
I'm conducting a RIKS analysis using Abaqus, the analysis proceeds to a certain point then the inc/LPF values become negative and the analysis terminates when the maximum specified increments are reached.
When I look at the odb the von mises appear to follow a cyclic pattern
