Hi,

I want to make a rigidity study. I mean putting a load with rigid remote load (load is outside the part) and find back the displacement of this load. I'd like to compare 2 parts (rigidity vs weight).

My other alternative is to make another part threated as solid and bonded to my grasping points, putting a point load and finding its displacement at this same point after a regular stress analysis. This seems cumbersome for someting usual for me.

Hello Robin,

Have you tried using a Remote Mass?

Even if I use a remote mass. I have to be able to know the force and the distance traveled at this point. Problem is not to find the force (can be a mass or a force) but to find the displacement of this remote force/mass in order to find a rigidity ratio (stifness)
