Hello Everybody

I have a mass outside of my model and I want to know what is the best way to link them together

first I have created a point where will be located my mass but I don't know witch link I have to use , rigid or weighted

Many thanks for your help

Olivier

Neither is absoluteley correct. A rigid link will rigidise between the connection entities including the mass point and also it will rigidise the connection entities themselves (surfaces, edges). A weighted link won't, so it is as though the real part has no stiffness whatsover. In reality the part you are representing will probably have some stiffness. So decide based on whether you think it will stiffen your structure or not. However, probably most people use a weighted link, so as to not over-stiffen the model with a rigid link
