Has anyone used this product before? It seems to make sense and be a reasonable compromise for architectural ridge vents. Are there any other products that are similar? Or are engineers still just ignoring the discontinuity at continuous ridge vents?

$20/LF * 40 FT = $800

Sold, send me the pre-engineered product Simpson with certs and we have a deal.

..except there will be so much fine print attached to it that it will never be useful :)

Looking at the photo and then the DR. J report:
-Photo looks like it has 14 small head nails each corner. Dr. J is saying these should be 10d nails and minimum 4. The scale looks way off.
-It's 22gauge metal, so I'm not sure how much faith I want to put in the product. Isn't most flashing basically the same?
-Like @DayRooster, I'm surprised this hasn't been a Simpson-fied already
-No shame in being on the "ignore it" side of things. If anything, maybe there's a line of blocking there.
