Im looking into using RF technology to perform 3d spatial tracking and feedback. Has anyone come across a product/prototype that uses this technology as a scaled down GPS system? If so, would the RF sensors measure range by counting wavelengths? I've been able to find only one product that mentions RF technology as a spatial tracking device, a digital pen - It is ambiguous as to how it uses RF to track the motion.
Also, I have been told that RF sensors and transmitters are resistant to electronic noise. Would anyone be able to tell me in practice or in theory if RF sensors and signals would be affected by an arc welding field?
