Hello,

I'm trying to figure out if there is a name for the revoulte joint integrated in a typical pitman arm that connects to a center link.
It looks like a ball joint, but it actually doesn't allow missaligment.

Are those joints sold seperatley from the pitman arm?

Thanks,
Ben

Hi,

I meant the other side, like here:

Thanks,

My experience is you buy the whole idler arm.

FWIW in the previous millenium it was not completely unheard of for the pitman arm to have a tapered hole at that end, and an isolastic bushing with shaft and tapered end to be pressed into the idler arm. I seem to recall having to replace that bushing way more than the idler arm on my poor abused Corvairs.
