It is interesting to me that in PMR)6's AISC link galvanizing makes the difference in regards A325 bolts. Like, maybe, loss of galvanizing at the first installation will result in corrosion after the second installation. Or, some other mechanism altogether.
Some of the suspension and brake parts on my old Volvo came factory equipped with thread locking guck applied.
The factory manual forbids their re-use. The torque spec is well below yield.
My belief is the loss of thread locking compound is behind the one use rule in that case.
