please can some one offer some advice. i am doing an energy assesment at a food canning plant. the thing is i have to calculate the steam usage by the boilers and calculate fule consumption. im an electrical engineer.
i have a retort with steam flowing in at 120psi. how do i calculate steam used if i know the specific heat of the foods the materials used. the size and volume of the retort and the pressure and time the retort takes to cook. the food.
