Hi All,
I was just wondering what people think is the best way to introduce a restraint stiffness value into an ANSYS structural model.

Say we have a structure that is modelled as being fixed in the X and Z directions translationally at certain locations. However on closer investigation we need to introduce some flexibility of the X translational restraint. What is the best method of doing this?

Try attaching spring elements at the constrained points, with an appropriate spring stiffness matching that which represents this flexibility you require.
