Restart file not being written abaqus 6.13

I am currently running an analysis set to output a restart file over 4 intervals. The input file reads as follows:

** OUTPUT REQUESTS
**
*Restart, write, overlay, number interval=4, time marks=NO

The .msg file states that it has written the information:

RESTART INFORMATION WRITTEN IN STEP 1 AFTER INCREMENT 25

However I still do not have a .res file in the folder. I can't seem to find the reason for this anywhere.
