Hi
I have a problem with the following situation:
4 project members. Each has different calendars reflecting holiday etc. When I allocate these people as resources to a task I do the following:
1) specify the amount for work for the task in the work column.
2) Add the resources and for each of them specifying the number of units of participation.
MS Project is then calculating the duration witch is what I want it to do. The problem is the way the calculation is made. If I add all the resources at once and then press OK, the amount of work is split equally between the resources i.e. all resources get the same amount of work. If one person is on holiday the duration of the task is extended. I want it to calculate the duration, so that the task is finished as fast as possible with the resources available. How can I do that?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Martin
