I have finally gotten the office to change how they handle microsoft project. To actually use it by project and not by resource. However, the boss wants to see something that would be a combination of the task usage and gantt charts together. He wants to see each resource, the projects/ tasks they are working on, and the timeline next to each task. He wants it graphically. Any ideas???

Thanks
Brad

Not sure what you're asking. You can format the Gantt chart to show resource annotations on each task

Basically I am looking for a hybrid of the Resource Allocation view. If you took the bottom right section and put it with the top left section. I have tried filtering the gantt chart by custom group by resource names, but this lists all combinations of the resources.

This option will only display correctly if you have one resource assigned to each task, but try it!

From the Gantt Chart View, click on >Project, >Group By, >More Groups, >New. Select Resource Names from the dropdown and click OK.

Hope this helps!
