Hello All,
I have question regarding resin infusion and it is my hope that I might get the answers here.

I am using a silicone bag and doing a resin infusion through it but I have notice that after a few pulls the bag has started to change color from a bright green to an off white and the bag is starting to degrade. Why is this happening? I was only able to get 7 pulls from it and on the last one the material I was infusing pretty mush bonded to the silicone.

Silicone degrades in contact with many resin ingredients. If you want to reuse the silicone bag numerous times, it should not be allowed to come into contact with liquid resin. A layer of FEP release film is the most effective way to do this. Even the fumes from some resins can be corrosive during high temperature cures.
