Help!

A follow up to my previous post. Our infusion set up refuses to pull vacuum through.
There is hole drilled through at the side for the valve that is connected to the vacuum pump.
We have tried sealing it from every possible leakages, however, we are still unsuccessful in this.
The vacuum ends up sucking the vacuum bag and not vacuum sealing the set up.
Pls advise on what we should do next. Thank you i hope this information is enough...

If that thin plastic was supposed to resist atmospheric pressure then it is trying to resist against (by estimation) hundreds to thousands of pounds of force.

Perhaps a piece of breather cloth over the vacuum port would help keep the bag away and allow you to still pull vacuum. Not sure if it is possible based on where the port is located but could be worth a try.

It looks like the bag is plugging your port.
