Hi all,
I have a plug flow reactor with a network of reaction with complex reaction kinetics taking place.
There is a net increase in the total number of moles at every step(of modelling).
The reactor is assumed to be isothermal in operation. Change in total moles implies change in volumetric flow rate at the end of the reactor.
My question is
How do I calculate the residense time in this case?
the normal way, ie: reactor volume/volumetric florate doesent work here (?).
Thanks in advance
