I am looking for opinions/theories on the divergence in the recent growth trend between Ansys and MSC (Ansys' growth has been stronger and more consistent), as well as any input on the performance of Abaqus (private, does not report) or other competitors (are there any?) that have the potential to gain on the larger companies.
Software quality, ease of use, new products, strength in universities, better selling effort, industry mix, customer mix ... ???
