Rendering actual pixels

I’m working with our software gurus to develop a nice looking GUI for one of our products. I’ve designed the interface, and modeled it 1:1. It looks great btw! (the actual pixels I need are 1024x750)

I’ve set up all the parameters the way I want the piece to look, and set the scene with a black b/g.

When the rendering is complete, (render to file) the model is 'centered' about the black 'frame' at a size of 1024x750. What I really want is just the geometry to be 1024x750.
Is there a setting I should use that I’m overlooking? Trick, or workaround?
I know I could PhotoShop t up to make it 'close', The GUI needs to be very accurate in this case however.

My VAR is even stumped.

Thanks In Advance!

torge,

This is what I would try. Save your rendering to a file at the 1024x750 pixel size. Once the rendering is saved open the file in a photoeditor, crop the image to the edges of your GUI rendering. You should then be able to determine what pixel size the actual model is saving at. Lets say it's 924x550. Then save your render to a file again and increase your size to 1224x950(you increase the size to account for the pixels the black background is using). This extra size will render your model at the 1024x750 pixel size you are looking for.

Not sure if this will work but it should, at least in my mind. I don't think the screen shot method will give you a high enough quality file.

Rockguy..... Exactly what I ended up doing, and it did work.... albit a PITA!

It ended up being 1224x919

Great. Glad it worked for you. I'll have to fill this trick away somewhere. Never know when it may come up again.
