Rename All Part family Members in NX8.5 (native mode)

Hi,

If I would like to rename all members, I have to follow the followings steps:

1°) delete all members on Windows
2°) Start NX
3°) Open the master
4°) Tools / Part families
5°) Edit the sheet
6°) change DB_PART_BO and OS_PART_NAME for each member
7°) create Parts
8°) exit Excel
9°) Open all assemblies that referecing old members and Replace them with the new members

I hope to be clear

In the given example, I need to rename all members (mask1, mask2, mask3 and mask4) to (masque1, masque2, masque3 and masque4) in:
- the master famille-halloween.prt
- all assemblies

Yes, that's the only practical procedure that I'm aware of.

There is some work being planned for the next version of NX, but it's mostly architectural changes and updating the UI to comply with the latest standards and tools. However, we will try to include as many of the outstanding ER's as if practical considering the scope of the project and the resources allocated. So now would be the time to submit any new ER's for there to be at least a chance that your ideas will be given consideration. That being said, my understanding is that once the architectural changes are completed, that this will make it easier to implement some of the longer terms plans that we have for improving Family Table Parts so even if it's too late to make this year's cut, if you did open an ER it would be given consideration when the next cycle of projects are being scoped and funded.
