I've read that it's possible to degum vegetable oil with a membrane. Is it possible to remove water with a membrane?

If so, where would I start?

Hello,

As far as I know, membranes were first invented for the desalination of sea in order to produce potable water (S. Sourirajan).

Concerning your question, it is a bit confusing, can you please clarify what it is that you want to do?

UF Membranes can seperate water from oil.
